Weave by MartchZagorski Weave by MartchZagorski
Yay! I didn't mess up the weave pattern! I think.
It's simpler than what I had in mind but, oh well...

Fineliners on recycled paper (10x10cm).

Yes..  Your work looks so time-consuming.  I wish I had that kind of patience... For reasons unknown, your art relaxes me..  :)

I have trouble starting a drawing and finishing one.
So the idea is that if I take my sweet time drawing, I will encounter less of the two.
It makes me happy that it has a positive (I hope) effect on you!
Thanks!

So.. when you start out drawing... Do you have an idea in your head of what you want it to be, or do you just start creating?  And yes.. it's definitely a positive effect.. !!

Most of the time I have an idea that changes beyond recognition as I go along.
Other times I wing it.
Somewhere along the way I start to see where I'm going and try not to mess it up too badly. :)

Nice version of swastika ~ symbol of sun ☉
But it reminds me snowflake ❄

I didn't notice it at first myself. :)
In my country one of it's names is fire cross.
Creates a nice juxtaposition between the heat of the Sun and the cold of the snowflake.

Yes,it does!

And how You say it fonetically fire cross in Your lenguage?

We in polish say swastyka now but in old way was świastyka - and that begining with soft s - ś is the same as for the words that mean
"world" - "świat"
and
"light" - "światło",
and as well word that talks about brightness of the mind,
"światłość umysłu",
cause it uses the word light for the begining...

Fire cross in latvian would be Uguns krusts - [ooguns crusts] phonetically, using latin characters.
It has several names and meaning in my country. Some say that it has origins here independent of of those found in far east and other places.
I don't know much about it, though. To my shame, I haven't been a very active student of my nations past. :)

Never too late for redescovering,hehe...
I foud couple of years ago some book on internet in polish that talks about unacknowledged yet descoveries about slovian runs and it was very exiting to try to learn them...
Didn't get much furthere for now,but I have some hopes for future as my second son just started to studie archeology...
