I wised up and scanned the drawing in black and white. The perspective seems to be a little too extreme. Is the whole thing readable enough? At first I planned to shade everything (hatching or stippling), but decided that it would only make matters worse. I might do some shading on a computer. What do you think?

I don't find the perspective extreme at all! There is enough contrast to create a visually appealing piece of art!
